Overview
Talarik Creek Lodge is located on Iliamna Lake. Iliamna is renowned for its world-class fishing. The clear, cold streams and the vast, deep lakes of the Iliamna region are perfect for both tranquil solitude and adventurous fishing.
Our accommodations provide a cozy, rustic escape with all the comforts of home. Enjoy gourmet meals prepared by our full-time chef with local ingredients, relax in our well-appointed amenities – in our subterranean sauna, around the fireplace, in one of our numerous lounge areas, or at our private beach, and unwind with stunning views of the Alaskan wilderness.
Fishing Styles & Species
Depending on the species and location, anglers use a variety of fishing styles and techniques, including (spin) casting, fly fishing, and trolling. Whatever your preference, our expert guides are equipped to accommodate your style and skill level, ensuring a personalized fishing experience.
Salmon
Sockeye, Silver, and King Salmon. The world's largest sockeye run starts in mid-June through mid-August, peaking in mid-July.
Trout
Lake Trout and colorful Rainbow Trout targeted from mid-June through the end of August (peaking in early August).
Northern Pike
Known for their aggressive nature, Northern Pike present an exciting challenge for seasoned anglers. Fishing for pike is best from June - August.
Arctic Grayling
Known for their distinctive dorsal fins, these fish offer a graceful challenge. They can be fished for throughout the season- we target them June through August.
Arctic Char & Dolly Varden
Sought after for their vibrant colorations and strong fight, targeted all season from June through August.
