Remote Alaskan Fishing Adventures
Our remote Alaskan wilderness fishing adventures are offered to anglers that are looking for a uniquely private backcountry Alaska outdoor fishing experience. Whether you are a new or a seasoned angler, fly-fish or use traditional tackle, we invite you to come explore the Alaskan wilderness with us.
Experience the "Last Frontier" of Fishing
Experience the "Last Frontier" and explore places that very few have ever even laid eyes on before. Anglers can look forward to enjoying exclusive river/lake access to miles of Lake Clark National Park & Preserve - widely known for garnering some of the best freshwater fisheries in the entire world. Our operation has decades of experience fishing these remote waters with licensed guides that are some of the most skilled & knowledgeable outdoorsmen in the industry. We offer all-inclusive fishing trips, ranging from remote drop camps to comfortable backcountry tent camping or staying at one of our one-of-a-kind fishing lodges.
This isn't your run-of-the-mill brochure fishing experience. This is the real deal, in real Alaska.
Backcountry Fly-Fishing Trips
Backcountry fly-fishing is our specialty at Bushwhack Alaska. We cater to the adventure fly-fisherman looking to experience what the Alaskan wilderness has to offer. From guided trips out of our remote lake lodge to multi-day float trips or DIY drop camp fishing excursions in the deepest corners of the Alaskan bush, we have a remote fishing adventure to meet every angler's expectations.
Remote Lake Fishing at May Lake Lodge
Our remote fishing lodge on May Lake is our primary base camp for many of our remote fishing trips. The lodge serves as a launching point for float trips, or you can fish on the lake directly from the lodge. The benefit of this location is versatility - you can choose to do one form of fishing for the whole trip, or you can switch things up and fish the lake one day, then go for a float on one of the rivers the next day. No matter what, you are in for the ultimate backcountry fishing experience.
Remote, but comfortable.
While the lodge is not what you would classify as luxury, it features all the comforts of home including Starlink internet and an in-camp cook, plus your fishing guides. Although most people come to May Lake to target lake trout, grayling, pike, and other freshwater lake species, the fly-fishing opportunities at this remote lodge are endless.
Multi-Day Float Trips
Nothing screams adventure like a float trip in Alaska, fly-fishing as you go and immersing yourself in the wilderness. Our float trips are based out of our May Lake lodge, or for the true adventure-seeker, we can fly you into even more remote areas on a float plane. Our multi-day float trips are customized to each angler's request - guided, semi-guided, or complete DIY. You pick the number of days you want to spend floating, and the species you are most interested in catching, and we will put you on the right body of water for an unforgettable Alaskan fly-fishing float trip.
Talarik Creek Fishing Trips
For anglers looking to experience authentic Alaska mixed with a more luxury lodging experience, we offer All-Inclusive Alaskan Fly fishing trips at our exclusive Talarik Creek Lodge, located within the world-famous Bristol Bay watershed & the surrounding waters within Lake Clark National Preserve. Backcountry fishing can be arranged as well. Additional trip options for bear viewing, photography, & eco tourism are also available.
